Massage facilitates a space for your body to find it's own normal, because ultimately our bodies know what to do. 

Maybe you've already had illness or injury present in the body and it's likely that massage can be a powerful force in aiding you to recovery. At the most basic level, massage brings circulation and lymph flow, both of which aide the healing process by strengthening the immune system and bringing oxygen, nutrients, & balance to the body.

Prenatal Care

Many mothers-to-be don't always have much time to dedicate to learning new ways of practicing self-care for the changing body. Prenatal massage and yoga are powerful and important practices for both mom and baby and mental and physical preparation are important to the labor process.

During a massage, mom has a dedicated amount of time to spend with baby and nothings else to do or think about. She can choose to begin the session with yoga or not. As mom's weight moves forward, new stress is being put on the spine and hips. At the same time, relaxin is widening the hips and loosening ligaments. Massage can relieve pain, create more restful nights, and increase circulation and lymph flow.Among other benefits, yoga postures strengthen the quads and open the hips to condition the body for effective labor positions. 

I don't have kids of my own so I love hearing my clients' stories of love and their honest accounts of the process of pregnancy, childbearing, and beyond . I am continuously educating myself on the topic of pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood and my clients are my biggest wealth of information.
